Eklutna Traverse (plus)
Tony, Becky, and I headed in from Eklutna to try the Eklutna Traverse to Girdwood. We spent 6 near-cloudless days on the traverse, climbing peaks and just having an absolute blast in the sunshine. Dave Hart helped us out a ton by ferrying in our gear to the Serenity Falls hut on his 4 wheelers. I joined Dave, David S, and Ross on a climb the day before the traverse (called Day 0) in which we were able to get our gear in to the hut as well as spend 12 hours back in the East Fork valley. It is interesting to note that within two days of our return, the East Fork valley was consumed in a forest fire. The fate of Tony and Becky's bikes (which they stashed in the woods) has yet to be figured out (as well as a duffle bag of random gear we left out there as well).
